Arjun Erigasi set to face Giri, Dubov, Yangyi and co. at 5th Shenzhen Masters 2024

The fifth edition of Shenzhen Masters 2024 starts today. Arjun Erigaisi will be the sole Indian taking part in this event. Anish Giri (NED) who won the third edition in 2019, will be the highest rated player in the field. The winner of the fourth edition in 2021, Yangyi Yu is the highest rated Chinese player in the mix. Former World Rapid champion, Daniil Dubov will also be seen in action. The remaining four players are - Vladislav Artemiev, Xiangzhi Bu (CHN), Qun Ma (CHN) and Xiangyu Xu (CHN). Arjun is the top seed

Pentala Harikrishna participated in the inaugural and third edition in 2017 and 2019. He finished as the runner-up in 2019. Arjun Erigaisi becomes the second Indian to take part in this super tournament. The average rating of the event is 2698.
