The Batumi Chess Olympiad is one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the world. Team India begins as the fourth seeds in the open section and as the fifth seeds in the women' section. With Vishy Anand and Koneru Humpy back in the team, India has a realistic chance of winning a medal. On this page, you can follow the entire journey of the Indian team from the start until the end of the event. First of all, you can see the live games and commentary here, but apart from that, you will find all the relevant links required of previous reports, chess-results and other important sources. Update 1 | 3:10 p.m.

Vishy Anand drew with Jan-Krzysztof Duda of Poland, in just 25 moves by repeating his moves in an equal position. Minutes after his game got over, Pentala Harikrishna drew his game against Radoslaw Wojtaszek in 30 moves in a Rook ending.

Update #2 | 3:45 p.m.

Eesha Karavade was held to a draw by Turmunkh Munkhzul. Eesha had to settle for a draw against lower rated Turmunkh as there was no way to make a progress. Indian Women's team is tied at the moment with Mongolia at 0.5-0.5

Vidit Gujrathi drew with Kacper Piorun in an opposite color Bishop endgame. All relies on Adhiban Baskaran now. He is pushing hard for a win

Update #4 | 5:30 p.m.

After more than 4.5 hours long battle and brave tries Adhiban Baskaran drew with Jacek Tomczak. Adhiban tried his best, gave it all but someday it's just enough. With his draw, India draws the final round match with Poland 2-2

Despite being worse in the endgame, just like the first round, Tania kept fighting and managed to persevere and eventually her opponent blundered a rook.

Padmini kept pushing for a win from the beginning. She destroyed her opponent's pawn structure and eventually that caused her opponent to lose.
